As some of you may know, Food Network chef Sunny Anderson is not only a military veteran herself, but she also comes from a long line of distinguished veterans. Supporting the U.S. Troops has always been an important part of Sunny’s life, and this holiday season, she is asking for our help in Baking for the Troops!
Sunny has teamed up with Kenmore to bake 250,000 cookies for U.S. soldiers away from home this holiday season, and we can help! All you need to do is “like” Kenmore on Facebook, and Sunny and Kenmore take care of the rest! Here’s how it works:
1. Visit Facebook.com/Kenmore and “like” them.
2. Click on the tab that says “Cookies4Troops,” then click on “SEND A DOZEN COOKIES FOR ME.”
3. You’ll redirect to a page that allows you to choose from several pre-written messages to accompany your cookies. Choose the message you like, then …
4. That’s it!!!!! Kenmore and Sunny do all the baking, packaging and mailing! They even attach your personal note to the box! And it doesn’t cost you a penny!
5. Tell a friend!!
Besides making so many soldiers holidays a little yummier, once they reach 250,000 cookies (about 20,800 clicks), Kenmore and Sears will donate $50,000 to the Heroes at Home Wish Registry!
Sunny describes her own personal experience as a soldier away from home in her blog post about Baking for the Troops – after you read her heartfelt story here, you’ll know why it is so important for us to make the U.S. soldiers who are away from home this holiday season feel special and appreciated. Please help Sunny and Kenmore make Baking for the Troops a huge success, and go to Facebook.com/Kenmore right away!!
As happy as I am that you helped spread the word about Baking for the Troops, I wish you hadn't copied my post word-for-word. Please either remove this and write your own post, or give me proper credit with a link to my blog. Thank you.
